Use the built-for-purpose meter function to turn today’s and yesterday’s totalizer readings into a daily value. You can set an offset so the calculated usage is written to yesterday (today – yesterday → write to yesterday), which is often what you want for daily sheets.
Handle rollovers automatically
Provide the maximum meter reading once. If the totalizer wraps, Operator10 applies the rollover logic internally, so you still get the correct usage. For tanks or counters that count down, a negative maximum lets you calculate usage the same way after refills.
Convert to the units you track
Add a multiplier/divisor in the meter function to convert raw usage into your working unit (for example, converting to MGD for daily flow). One place to set it—consistent results across the month.
