Why import first
If your parts live in spreadsheets, a bulk load beats hand entry. Antero parts CSV import lets you upload a large list at once so your team starts with a usable library on day one. Instead of typing dozens (or hundreds) of items, you bring them in together and get straight to daily work—finding parts, staging jobs, and tracking stock.
What the webinar promised
AllMax can provide a CSV file to help you upload existing lists into Antero. Use the Antero parts CSV import template to map what you already track into standard fields. Starting from a provided template reduces guesswork and helps keep names and fields consistent across your entire list.
Suggested prep steps
- Normalize names. Use one unique, clear name per part.
- Set Tracking Type. Decide which items are Tracked, Untracked, or Tool.
- Assign Warehouse and Area. Point each stock record to the right bin or shelf.
- Include Quantity on Hand and Unit Cost where you have them.
- Add Stocking Unit and, if relevant, Bulk Units and Number per Bulk Unit so ordering and on-hand views make sense.
After the upload
Open the Parts grid and spot-check a sample: view the details panel, review Part Stock rows, and glance at history tabs (these will fill over time as you operate). Save a default grid layout and add the columns you’ll use daily (e.g., Warehouse, Area, Min/Max). For small gaps or late additions, use Add Similar to duplicate an existing part and adjust the few fields that differ.
Tips for a clean first pass
- Keep naming plain and consistent—avoid special characters that can cause confusion later.
- If a field is truly unknown, leave it blank instead of guessing; you can update it after go-live.
- Test with a short CSV first, then run the full list once the format looks right.
Why this path works
Antero parts CSV import moves you from scattered files into a structured system quickly. With core fields loaded and bins assigned, techs can find parts faster, planners can set Min/Max with confidence, and buyers can move straight to ordering—without rebuilding the same data by hand.
