Operator’s Edge: Bringing Practical Wins Back to Operations
Our recent Operator’s Edge Chicago event brought together utility professionals for two focused days centered on real‑world use of Operator10 and related mobile solutions. The goal was simple: help operators walk away with practical knowledge they could immediately apply back at their utilities.
It also gave us the chance to invite Mark Liss from JDM Technology Group to tell attendees about the future of AllMax Software and JDM. We also unveiled our new cloud-hosted product Synexus and demonstrated its capabilities to those in attendance.
Through structured sessions, live demonstrations, and open Q&A, Operator’s Edge Chicago attendees worked through everyday scenarios they face in the field and in the office. Topics ranged from navigating core Operator10 workflows to exploring mobile capabilities designed to streamline daily operations and reduce manual work.
“As a Director the most valuable thing was having a better understanding of the Op-10 capabilities and where you folks are going to next”
What stood out most from post‑event feedback was the emphasis on practicality. Attendees consistently highlighted the value of seeing workflows broken down step‑by‑step, with time to ask questions specific to their own systems and processes. The mix of guided instruction and open discussion allowed participants to connect software features directly to how their teams actually operate.
“I thought the whole conference was very good. Being new to OP10, the conference was very informative.”
Another recurring theme was engagement. Operators appreciated having direct access to the AllMax team throughout the event, during sessions, one‑on‑one conversations, or informal discussions. That collaboration helped surface common challenges and sparked conversations around best practices and upcoming enhancements.
“I really enjoyed the detail in Dashboards and showing how they can be set up to accommodate different users. Also, I’ve never used the Formula Help button before so I’m glad to know it’s there!”
Operator’s Edge was designed to go beyond traditional training by focusing on confidence, efficiency, and clarity. Based on attendee input, the event helped deliver knowledge that feels applicable, not abstract—and reinforced a shared commitment to supporting utilities as they evolve their operations.
We appreciate everyone who joined us and who took the time to share feedback. Your input directly informs how we continue to shape future Operator’s Edge events, product direction, and customer support initiatives.
