How long have you worked at AllMax?

I have been with AllMax for nearly two months.

What do you love most about your job/working at AllMax?
I enjoy the opportunity to be challenged by learning the intricacies of new software systems and the collaborative, friendly work environment.

What do you think sets AllMax apart in your field?
AllMax stands out by striving to develop software that addresses the diverse and specific needs of its customers. This commitment results in robust, intricate solutions with many interconnected components, ensuring comprehensive support for a wide range of use cases.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
I’ve learned that nothing is impossible to learn. The moment you doubt your own abilities is the moment you limit your potential for success.

When did you first know you wanted to pursue a career in this field?

My passion for technology began at the age of 11 when I first used a computer. Since then, I’ve been fascinated by the field and driven to pursue a career in it.

How has your role evolved since you joined the team?

Initially, I expected my primary focus to be on IT. However, AllMax has embraced my strengths, allowing me to contribute to video editing projects and assist with QA testing for the Development team. This integration has enabled seamless collaboration between Support and Development to ensure customers receive the highest quality products.

What methods do you use to stay motivated and focused?

Working in a field I’m passionate about naturally keeps me motivated as soon as my shift starts. Of course, on the occasional off day, I find that a good cup of coffee and focusing on smaller, manageable tasks can help refocus my energy.

What tips or advice would you give someone starting a new job?
Never hesitate to ask questions. Seeking clarification is far better than taking unnecessary risks that could negatively impact the company or its customers.

How do you see yourself developing in your role?
I aim to enhance my troubleshooting techniques and deepen my knowledge of SQL databases. I’m committed to continuous improvement in both technical skills and overall efficiency.

Tell us a bit about your family.
My mother has always been an incredible role model of hard work and resilience, teaching me that the good things in life are earned through dedication. During tough times, she would go above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. My father is the reason I developed a passion for technology at an early age, sparking my interest in video games, computers, and healthy competition. He often challenged me in games, instilling a competitive spirit that I still carry today.

I share a close bond with my siblings, and we enjoy many of the same hobbies. Although I’ve moved across the country and now live far from my family, we make it a priority to stay connected through phone calls and regular visits whenever possible.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I run a nonprofit organization focused on raising money for charitable causes through online gaming events. A key goal of this organization is to connect indie developers with gamers, shedding light on smaller, innovative games that often go unnoticed due to the dominance of major AAA titles. Additionally, I enjoy exploring game development myself, as well as playing guitar and singing.

What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?
I used to excel at skateboarding and was on track to potentially earn sponsorships from major companies, turning it into a career. However, during that time, I broke between seven and ten bones over the course of my skateboarding years, which ultimately led me to step away from the sport. Despite this, I’m still capable of skateboarding today and enjoy it recreationally every now and then.

What’s a cause that you are passionate about?
I’m deeply passionate about PTSD awareness, as I’ve personally experienced the challenges it brings. Anxiety and panic disorders, in general, are incredibly debilitating, and I strongly empathize with those who struggle with them. I hope to see a future where individuals with these conditions receive better care and understanding than what is often available today.

How do you like to structure your day?
Outside of work, I prefer a spontaneous approach to daily life, finding that rigid structure isn’t always necessary. Living day by day allows for a more dynamic and exciting lifestyle. While I ensure that all essential tasks are completed within the week, I make it a priority to fully embrace and enjoy every moment when I’m not working.

How would your best friend describe you in three words?
Curious, Loyal, and Easygoing
