Pick the right output
Charts get shared three ways: as a screen view, a file, or inside a report. Operator10 charts in reports covers all three so you pick the fastest path for the audience.
One-off share
Use Export to PDF, image, HTML, or Excel. PDFs are best for board packets. Images drop into slides. HTML works for portals. If labels clip, adjust Diagram margins and re-export.
Embed in a custom report
Open Reports → Custom Report. Create or open a template, then Insert → Data Graph to place saved charts. You can insert two charts into one report page. Use consistent palettes and legend placement so mixed charts read as one system.
Name and version
Save the chart with a practical name (“BOD Influent vs Effluent – 12M”) before embedding. Operator10 charts in reports use the saved definition, so naming prevents mix-ups across databases.
Keep legends tight
In the embedded chart, short series names matter. Rename in the chart’s Series tab so the report legend fits without squeezing the plot.
Time frames that match the question
- Single day / 7 days: troubleshooting.
- Full month: routine review.
- 12 months: seasonal context, budget talk. You can switch time frames in Properties before export or embed.
Print check
Run a print preview. If the legend wraps, increase chart width or move the legend outside right. Ensure axis labels remain readable at the printer’s default scaling.
Result
Reports ship faster when charts are saved, named, and embedded cleanly. Operator10 charts in reports turns “Can you send a trend?” into a 2-minute task.
